Stefan Byfield has worked as a professional photographer around the globe since 1990 covering everything from night safaris to fashion shoots to stunning interiors and landscapes. His work has been used on billboards, TV ads and magazines around the globe and adorns some of the most beautiful homes on the planet.

Stefan's passion for photography began when someone lent him a 35mm camera while on holiday in Canada many years ago. “I was seventeen at the time and thought it would be great fun to start by taking photos on a roller coaster ride we were going on.”

Amazingly, his very first job was to shoot the legendary David Bailey while he was doing a casting for a new TV campaign. As Bailey ushered in a catwalk of supermodels he walked over to Stefan and casually said ‘It's difficult starting out, isn't it?’. Stefan was star-struck and knew this was the start of a lifelong passion for photography in the commercial world.

During his career, Stefan spent more than 10 years in Singapore and Hong Kong shooting for many editorial magazines, top hotels and clients such as Singapore Airlines and the Singapore Tourist Board. Returning to the UK in 2000, he has undertaken a lot of work for local press and editorial shoots.

Stefan now also has 8 years experience as a Self Shooter/DP/Producer working with crews producing news packages, documentary style programmes and interview footage for broadcast and on-line streaming. He also has extensive experience over the past 2 years, shooting top quality stills and videos for Estate Agents in the UK.

Whilst a professional, Stefan chooses projects based on whether they interest and excite him. He has a flexible approach to pricing according to the scale of the project, work involved and the client that it is for.
